- Steps to play: Use the singing bowl in a quiet calm space. For a large singing bowl, place the O-ring on a flat surface and set your bowl on it. For smaller bowls, it may be preferable to place them in hand to hear them better. Gently tap the outer rim of the bowl and glide the mallet around the outer edge. Gliding with constant, firm pressure to continue the ringing sound. Practice a few times to achieve perfect sound. Always use light pressure while taping the quartz bowl.
