Step 1 - Unscrew the head and insert the required collet.
Step 2 - Half tighten the chuck, then insert your drill bit or other device into the collet jaws.
Step 3 - Fully tighten the chuck head to secure the drill bit.
Step 4 - Place the palm of your hand over the top of the handle and use your finger tips to turn the central portion of the pin vise.

The twist drill bits can't be applied to drill in material as hard as steel, iron and stone.
