Why the Potato baking nails rack don't work in a microwave?
The nails are designed to transfer heat from the oven to the middle of the potato so that it cooks from the middle out while it is baking from the outside in. Since the microwave heats the food instead of the air around it everything cooks from the middle out, so the nails wouldn't speed the process up even if they didn't cause sparking.
