Metalbird started as a single bird crafted in a small shed by hand, hammered into a tree. New Zealand based industrial designer, Phil Walters, created and installed cool metal bird silhouettes around his neighbourhood for no other reason than to surprise, delight and intrigue. Once people saw them, they wanted Metalbirds of their own now 10 years later it’s a global art project! Metalbird truly believes in the power that staying local brings to the community. We’ve partnered with a small British family-owned factory that craft our beautiful tree ornaments out of premium 11-Gauge Corten Steel. Corten Steel or ‘Weathering Steel’ is used in high end exterior architecture for good reason. Exposed to the elements, within weeks it develops a rust look seal, called patina, preserving our birds for decades. Making our garden decorations a great gift that will last forever. Tracking & Notifications
Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations
If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.

Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
- Mail-in returns using our prepaid label are refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive your return.

- 5–7 business days for the return to reach our Returns Center.
- An additional 3–10 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account.
