The soft plastic grub fishing lure was first introduced in the 1960s as a bass fishing lure for freshwater bass. It was also found to be effective for other common species such as crappie, walleye, trout etc. Later the local Australian anglers discovered that the Curl Tail Softbait was also a powerful bait for their native saltwater species such as Bream, Flathead, Trevally, Whiting, Golden Perch, Tailor Fish, Queen Fish and even Bonitos, Mackeral, Australian Salmon and Kingfish. It is also very effective for the freshwater Australian Bass,Estuary Perch, Golden Perch and Redfin Perch.Our colour choices and pattern designs are heavily inspired by the experiences of Australian professional anglers, Youtubers and major brands in the native habitats, especially the "Mangrove Green" and "Caterpillar Green". The "Pinky Bubble Gum" has been selected for native rainbow and brown trout. The soft plastic lures are designed to imitate native baitfish, shrimp and worms scurrying through the water. We also add glitter to make it easier for fish to spot the lure and a garlic scent to mask the smell of sunscreen on your hands and human odour that can turn-off fish.
