Easy and Customizable Installation
The complete kit includes 2 hinge pieces, a seat support plate, pre-assembled spring brackets and all necessary installation hardware. Requires simple modification of the original seat for a perfect fit, allowing for personal adjustments for optimal comfort.
Step 1 Remove All Plastic bracket
Use a saw to cut off the plastic mounting bracket of the seat cushion (be careful not to damage the seat cover).
Step 2 Install the support plate onto the seat cushion.
- First, combine the support plate from the kit with the seat cushion.
- Then, use 10 self-tapping screws to firmly attach the support plate to the seat cushion.
Step 3 Install the hinge end.
- Position the upper clamp plate over the front crossbar of the bike frame, where the original seat was mounted.
- Align the lower clamp plate beneath the crossbar, creating a sandwich between the upper and lower clamp plates.
- Using the included nuts, bolts, and spacers, insert the bolts through both clamp plates and secure tightly, ensuring the clamp is fastened firmly to the crossbar.
- Double-check the alignment, making sure the seat hinge is securely fastened
Step 4 Install the pre-assembled spring brackets
- Install the pre-assembled spring brackets onto the frame and put the lock braket behind the rear seat mounting bar
- Finally, insert the support post at the rear end of the support plate into the top of the spring and lock the spring w/ 2 Cotter Pins. (the spring angle can be adjusted by rotating).
