Guar gum
Guar gum is a vegetable food additive (E 412), mainly used as a thickening and gelling agent. Even small amounts of guar gum are enough to give liquids a viscous consistency. The viscosity of this guar gum is 3500 cps. Under the influence of shear forces (e.g. B. shaking, stirring) guar gum becomes thinner. However, as soon as the shear forces decrease, the viscosity of the product increases again. The guar gum is easily soluble in both hot and cold water.
Use:
Guar gum is used in foods such as soups, sauces, jellies, preserves, canned vegetables, fruit preserves, milk mixed drinks, desserts and ice cream. In ice and dairy products, it provides a smooth and creamy texture and reduces the formation of ice crystals. In soups, dressings and sauces, it provides better thickening and serves as a stabiliser. In meat products, guar gum is used as a binder to absorb free water. For baked goods, it is mainly used to keep bread fresh.
Notes:
Guar gum can be used in conjunction with other thickeners such as xanthan or carob gum. We recommend using no more than 2% in food. For the preparation of soups, for example, approx. 0.8% sufficient. The use of guar gum in the production of organic food is possible (subject to the limitations), but this is conventional quality. Guar gum should be stored dry, cool and well sealed.

Tracking & Notifications
Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations
