What a friend! I love Nicotania rustica so much, it has been an integral part of my healing journey, a kind guide on a some times very cruel, dark journey. This is the herb that has been used in ceremony in the America’s for centuries, also known as sacred shamanic t0bacc0.
I first started using it in smoking blends, I would hold it in my hand and meditate on the question or situation I needed guidance on, take a puff and immediately guidance would be shared with me intuitively. I highly recommend using this for meditation and any spirit work it really protects, informs and drops you into that ethereal space. It’s also incredibly grounding and can be used in times of stress and anxiety on your own journey into the dark night of the soul.
I personally dilute .5 to 1 whole dropper, but when you’re first aquatinting yourself with this plant spirit please take it slowly, it is strong, one to 3 DROPS will do in 8oz of water (water is an important part of spirit work always drink a glass beforehand!)
As with all new things, do a test run of just a few drops to be sure it agrees with your system! It’s pretty intense undiluted, I don’t suggest it!
I’ve grown it for many years and last year I really noticed the stickiness of the flower buds later in the season and I was called very strongly by the plant to make this into medicine. To my knowledge no one else does this combination! This is technically a flower essence AND a flower bud, tincture. I use the blooming flowers and the buds both before they bloom and after blooming when they begin to form seed pods, the whole cycle…
I extracted it in Brandy for 3 months as I collected the gorgeous sticky flowers and buds while they grew.
Remember although you can use this like a flower essence (which I will be listing the actual essence) it is concentrated brandy tincture undiluted, unlike the flower essences.
