MATOW Espresso Calibrated Tamper is a precision, factory-calibrated, force-feedback tamper that takes the most important variable out of making the perfect espresso. It is a spring-loaded tamper that fully compresses at optimal tamping pressure. this allows you to get a consistent tamp and to produce consistent shots.

HOW TO USE COFFEE TAMPER
STEP 1- Push the blunt end of the tamper (the working-face) into the filter basket. Push down with the pressure 30 pounds, calibrated tampers are perfect for beginner baristas or pros who want to be 100% sure they applied the correct pressure.
STEP 2- Give the tamper a quarter twist, and pull it out of the filter basket as you continue to twist your wrist, continuing to twist as you remove the tamper will ensure that no coffee grounds cling to the tamper as it leaves the surface of the puck.
STEP 3-Turn the tamper around in your hand, and sharply tap the filter-end of the group handle with the handle-end of the tamper. This will dislodge the loose and misplaced coffee grounds, and knock them into the center of the surface of the coffee puck.
STEP 4- Twist your wrist as you remove the tamper so that coffee grounds to not adhere to the surface of the tamper as it leaves the surface of the coffee puck. You are almost done.
