[Test Method]
Healthy adult men and women (n=26) with a tendency towards abdominal obesity were asked to take tablets containing or not containing lactoferrin (300mg/day) for 8 weeks, and changes in visceral fat cross-sectional area and BMI were examined (1). The results of the analysis of 13 subjects with BMI < 30 and LDL cholesterol levels in the healthy range were graphed (2). As a result, significant changes were observed in both visceral fat cross-sectional area and BMI compared to the placebo group (Student's t-test).
