This is a freeze-dried kefir culture starter made in Japan. This product is 1 pouch, containing 8 sachets of kefir culture. Each sachet contains 3.8g of starter and is designed to ferment 1 Quart (1 Liter) of store bought milk. 1 pack can also ferment less than 1 quart without any health concerns, or you can split half a sachet for a half a quart if desired. Just be sure to completely seal an open and unused sachet. Original Kefir Ca+ aims to breakdown the barrier to entry of at-home fermentation by being the easiest culture starter to use on the market. To make a healthy and delicious probiotic yogurt, simply add 1 sachet to 1 quart (liter) of room temperature milk*, let sit for 24-36 hours, once hardend to a consistancy similar to heavy cream, refridgerate for 6-8 hours. After its cooled, just serve and enjoy. The milk can be in the store bought container, or in a sperate clean container (glass, plastic, etc.). *Room temperature is defined as 70-77 degrees F. If temperature is lower, it will take more time to ferment. This kefir is the result of a symbiotic fermentation of 4 lactic acid bacteria strains and 3 types of probiotic yeasts. These bacteria feed on the lactose content of the milk and the culture grows. The finished yogurt has 2.1 Billion CFU in 1 ml (at time of manufacture). A 240ml serving, or 1 cup, will contain approximately 488 billion CFU of lactic acid bacteria and probiotic yeast. The flavor is a more mild version of plain yogurt. It is familiar but with a weaker tart taste. It is very pleasant and matches well with plenty of flavors. Because it is all natural, it is safe to mix with any normal yogurt toppings, see below for some ideas. We recommend to make kefir with whole, low-fat, or soy milk. But fermentation can also be done with the middle ranges of dairy milk such as 2% and skim. In terms of plant-based milk, we have only proven fermentation with Soy milk. It does not work with Almond milk. In additon to kefir, this starter contains a generous boost of calcium. The same 1 cup (240ml) serving should have over 350mg of calcium in it. Again, since the product is all natural, it is safe for all members of the family and the added calcium is a good benefit for growing kids. However, please consult a pediatrician before giving your children kefir as it is a very strong probiotic.

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a tracking number, which shows the items which you already returned to us.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Book with obvious signs of use

- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Items returned to us as a result of our error will receive a full refund,some returns may be subject to a restocking fee of 7% of the total item price, please contact a customer care team member to see if your return is subject. Returns that arrived on time and were as described are subject to a restocking fee.
Items returned to us that were not the result of our error, including items returned to us due to an invalid or incomplete address, will be refunded the original item price less our standard restocking fees.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping Cost
We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). In other cases, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Refund:

- Refunds for orders purchased with IBSPOT Gift Cards and/or IBSPOT Notes will be issued as a IBSPOT Gift Card and mailed to the original billing address. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law.
