This Dark Circle Eye Cream features Haloxyl® (3%) a revolutionary active ingredient which absorbs blood pigments just under the skin’s surface. Most Haloxyl®creams on the market use much less Haloxyl®. Usually they use just 1 or 2%. 3% puts us at the top of the market and at this price? Unheard of. (Keep in mind this super ingredient normally costs us over $400 a pound.)
We also use Soy Rice Peptides (3%). Which has been shown in clinical studies to reduce significantly the appearance of dark circles & puffiness around the eyes.
Caffeine(1%) supercharges the skin cells.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum: (6%) is one of the most hydrophilic molecules in nature and as such it is aptly described as “nature’s moisturizer”.
And Argan, Squalane(from olive) and Jojoba oils.We use nothing but the best ingredients!
Carley’s Dark Circle Eye Cream
Comes with 1/2 bar of our natural soapwith 3% Haloxyl®, 1% Caffeine and 3% Soy-Rice Peptides
Helps brighten those dark areas under the eye.
also helps sagging skin and bags under your eyes.
We have many regular customers for our eye cream. But the one question we get over and over was: What about dark circles? Our regular eye cream
was not designed for this problem. We decide to try adding Haloxyl® and caffeine to our eye cream.
Haloxyl® is a combination of active ingredients able to absorb and eliminate colored blood pigments in the skin that are responsible for dark circles
under the eyes. It also has been found to have an anti-irritant effect and may reinforce firmness and tone of the eye area. Haloxyl can reduce the appearance
of dark circles under the eyes and reinforce firmness and tone of the eye area. In a study with 22 female volunteers the application of a gel containing
2% Haloxyl® for 56 days resulted in an improvement of dark circles in more than 70% as assessed by image analysis and computerized measurement
of color parameters.
Aren’t there other eye creams that use Haloxyl®? Yes. Most are quite a bit more expensive. And most use other ingredients we would never use.
And most are too acidic, especially for this sensitive area around your eyes. One of the keys to an effective eye cream is absorption. All the ingredients
we use are designed to get these ingredients down into the skin.
Why caffeine? It super charges our skin cream. (won’t keep you awake).
What if I don’t have dark circles? This seems to brighten the areas around your eyes. If darkness is not an issue use our other eye cream.
We’ve been helping people since 1999 get their skin under control. We get emails, we answer emails. It goes back and forth, many times. Our ears
are close to the ground. After answering tens of thousands of emails, we pretty much know what works and what doesn’t. We won’t introduce a product
just to make a buck. It has to do something that no other product on the market does.
We don’t use fillers or unpronounceable ingredients. Every ingredient is important. Most skin care products out there will tout an important ingredient.
But the problem is the ingredient is in such small quantities that it does nothing. Not true with our products.
What’s exactly is in it?
Active: Haloxyl® 3% At $400 a pound. This is pricey ingredient. Naturally derived.
Active: Caffeine 1%
Active: Soy-Rice Peptides 3% Oxidoreductases, soy peptides, hydrolyzed rice bran extract. Has been shown in clinical studies to reduce significantly
the appearance of dark circles & puffiness around the eyes. One study showed 35% reduction after 8 weeks treatment. Can improve skin smoothness &
texture, and has been postulated to improve micro-circulation of the blood in the skin.
Active: Hyaluronic acid Serum: 6%. Hyaluronic Acid is a special protein occurring naturally throughout the human body, and is one of the most heavily
researched substances in medicine today with thousands of clinical trials mostly in the fields of orthopedics and eye surgery. Its function in the body is,
among other things, to bind water and to lubricate movable parts of the body, such as joints and muscles. Its consistency and tissue-friendliness makes
it an excellent moisturizer, which is why it has earned a place in skin-care products and cosmetics. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most hydrophilic
molecules in nature and as such it is aptly described as “nature’s moisturizer”.
(balance in order of prominence)
Reverse Osmosis purified water : virtually all skin care products mention purified water. But the real deal is reverse osmosis purified water.
This mean ZERO contaminants which means the starting point is pure. It’s expensive to do (goes through 5 filters, which have to be changed often),
but it is the only water we use. We use the waste water from this purifying process to water our flowers and landscaping. So there is no waste.
Virgin Moroccan Argan Oil: (Argania spinosa kernal oil) is from a fruit from the Argania Spinosa tree that grows only in Morocco. Moroccan Argan Oil
is one of the most expensive oils in the world. It can be compared to the price of Truffles or expensive Caviar. It takes 6 to 7 of these trees to produce
enough fruit to make just a single liter of this wonderful oil. As rare as these trees are they only produce once every 2 years. Many Moroccan women
harvest and press these seeds to produce the oil. For many of them this is their only source of income. So us using this ingredient helps these
poor people. We chose this oil in this product because of the incredible healing benefits. In fact the other two oils are in there to help this oil get
into the skin.
Aren’t there a lot of other Moroccan oil products on the market?
Yes! Many products today claim to use this oil. But if you read their labels you will discover that they only use a tiny amount. They mostly use other filler
(inexpensive) oils. This is the first and most prominent oil in this product.
Squalane (derived from olive oil): “Squalane is a stable, complex biogenic liquid that is odorless, tasteless and transparent. Until recently, the
primary source of Squalane was shark liver oil. However, after years of research, a group of European scientists have developed a new process
to derive this precious moisturizer from a non-animal source, olives. Squalane is chemically inert material that is a normal constituent of the
human sebum. Since Squalane is naturally-occurring in man and is non-toxic, non-irritating, hypoallergenic and non-sensitizing, it is an ideal
natural emollient. Squalane works synergistically with other emollients and humectants in formulas to enhance their penetration into the
stratum corneum. This helps replenish the skin’s natural emollient, sebum that is essential for healthy looking skin. Dry parched skin now
feels dramatically softer, more supple. It works and it is also expensive.” Yes very expensive. But so worth it.
Jojoba Oil: (Simmondsia chinensis) is very similar to the oils in our skin. Technically it is not an oil but a wax ester. If you apply it to your skin it
still won’t absorb, but in a cream/moisturizer it absorbs extremely fast into the skin. We use this oil to carry the first two oils into the skin.
Now we’re getting into the nuts and bolts of our product. Or better said, what holds it altogether and makes it a moisturizer? Most moisturizers
on the market use ingredients like xanthan gums, algin (sea weed), or guar. These ingredients do bind the oils together. But are far from being a
true moisturizer. They are a large manufacturers way of cheating. A short cut. They may make it look like a moisturizer, but they aren’t true moisturizers.
True moisturizers are a pain to make in large batches. They require specific temperatures at specific points in the production. Our moisturizers are
totally bound with vegetable waxes. That’s one reason they absorb so well.
Emulsifying wax: This is a vegetable wax that is used to combine the oils and water.
Stearic acid: is not an acid, but another vegetable wax. Adds creaminess.
Germall Plus (a vegetable derived preservative to keep our product fresh) only needs 2/ 10’s of one percent to keep our product safe.
Rose Otto. This is one of the most powerful scents on the market and expensive. A tiny bit goes a long way. Rose Otto costs almost a dollar a
drop. (About 30 roses are required to make 1 drop of oil and 60,000 petals to make 1 oz. of oil)
Germall Plus (4/10’s of 1%) (diazolidinyl Urea, 3-Iodo-2-propylbutylcarbarmate) (a vegetable derived preservative to keep our product fresh)
only needs 4/10’s of one percent to keep our product safe. Look before you ask, no totally natural preservative really protects products from
bacteria. We don’t like using Parabens. and since we pH balance our moisturizers we are limited in our choice of preservatives. What’s great
about this one is so little is needed to afford protection.
pH neutral: And why is this important? Although we use ingredients that have an acid pH, the finished moisturizer is pH neutral, like all of our
moisturizers. We believe the skin is actually stressed by acids. Virtually all moisturizers on the market are acid. We wondered why?
If acids are so good for the skin as these products claim, why does it feel so good to take a swim in the ocean? Where the pH of the water
is very much the opposite of acid. Why is it recommended to keep swimming pool water slightly alkaline? There is a whole line of thinking now
that promotes alkalinity. We believe the skin and all of nature loves alkaline and hates acids. Ocean water is slightly alkaline (pH 8.1). If our oceans
were become slightly acid, mostly they would be a dead body of water. Forget this nonsense of the ‘acid mantle’. Our bodies when healthy, are
slightly alkaline.
No animal ingredients or testing EVER! We get assurances from our suppliers that our raw ingredients are not animal derived or any animal
testing done.
Most skin care products you buy to use today, were made in large factories years ago and have been in storage. Everything we ship was
made in small batches just a few weeks ago. Fresh matters! Quality ingredients matter! All of our products are wheat and gluten free.
Most of our ingredients are as close to natural as possible. We avoid overly processed ingredients. Processing means heat and that
destroys the goodness in these precious ingredients we use.
We also include a free half size bar of our Natural Shea Butter non-drying soap with each jar.
This Natural soap has to be tried to be believed. It is nothing short of wonderful.
How much? $24.99 for 1 ounce (29.57 mL). Free USA shipping.
Sorry but we do not ship to Italy, Maldives and many parts of Africa at this time due to difficulties experienced with their customs and
post office. Please be aware: Russia and India are currently experiencing longer shipping times.
